From initial question to governed engagement.
An initial conversation does not presume that a large consulting engagement is required. EGA first seeks to understand the institutional question, decision context, evidence, authority, constraints, and timing. Where there is a credible fit, the engagement moves through a proportionate sequence from inquiry to scope, agreement, delivery, and review.
01 — Define the need
Identify the institutional question, decision, concern, or implementation challenge that requires attention.
02 — Select the pathway
Determine whether the appropriate next step is framing, diagnostic work, institutional design, implementation support, Nature as Systems Intelligence, or another bounded engagement.
03 — Scope the engagement
Confirm the question, participants, outputs, evidence needs, responsibilities, boundaries, schedule, and engagement assumptions.
04 — Agree the Statement of Work (SOW)
Translate the agreed scope into deliverables, acceptance criteria, responsibilities, engagement terms, and authorization to proceed.
05 — Deliver, review and determine what follows
Complete the engagement, examine what was learned or produced, and decide whether closeout, refinement, implementation, expansion, or ongoing advisory support is appropriate.
Where the opportunity is sufficiently defined but not yet ready for a formal proposal, EGA may prepare a short Prospect Scoping Note. The note records what EGA understands, the proposed engagement pathway, likely outputs, important boundaries, and the decisions required before a formal Proposal / Statement of Work is prepared.
